When I smell a flower, I often remember something. It is the same with many other smells. I will give you an example. When I smell honeysuckle flowers, I always remember my childhood when I would pick the flowers and suck the sweet drop of nectar out of the bottom. But this is a very simple memory. I think that certain smells can trigger very specific and unusual memories. Things that a person has not thought about for many years.
