I really like this picture, but I am wondering about the title. There are many kinds of "distances". There is the distance that a person feels when she/he has traveled a long way and is in unfamiliar surroundings. There is the distance that a person feels when she/he is separated from a loved one. There is the distance felt when a passion must be set aside for some period of time. I think there are probably many more examples. Such things are very subjective. What is the distance that you feel or intended to convey in this painting?
