I am not sure that I agree with this. My understanding of the word "phenomenology" suggests that those who adhere to this way of perceiving reality are not likely to be favorably disposed to others whose perceptions presuppose a religious or supernatural basis for existance. I know that many poets and painters have been and are deeply religious.

The word "phemomenology" brings to mind a very funny movie called "Dark Star". In this movie, a human has a phenomenological discussion with an artificially intelligent bomb.
